  • 1. Do I need any background to learn floral arrangement?
    • A keen interest and love for flowers is all that is required.

  • 2. I do not have any background in floral arrangement. Which course can I start with?
    • This would depend on your intention of learning floral arrangement. If you are looking for a career in the floral industry, we would recommend that you start with the beginner’s course where you will learn the fundamentals of basic design forms. This course will also allow you to progress through the intermediate, advance and professional level of skill sets if required.

  • 3. What can I learn from your school?
    • Beginner’s is the fundamental course, followed with Intermediate Level, Advance Level, Professional Level and finally Diploma Level. Many florist-aspirants and serious hobbyists had in the past, taken this path to qualify and improve their skill set. Many have also become accomplished florist and had won numerous competitions in the region.

  • 4. What time do the classes start?
    • Class times are flexible according to your schedule. However, restricted to choose between Tuesdays to Fridays. 11am-1pm, 2-5pm or 7-9pm and you can start lessons the moment you are registered with us. You will need to book in advance.

  • 5. What is the duration for the courses?
    • Students have to complete the Beginner’s course in 3 months and the Professional course in 1 year.

  • 6. Does the school cater for overseas student?
    • Yes, 30% of our enrolment consists of international students. We have special course packages that cater to international students who may not be able to stay the 6 months or 1-year duration required for completion of the courses. Please email us at info@noblemanschool.com.sg and state your course requirements or other concerns. We will work with you on a case-by-case basis.

  • 7. Are there any job placements available?
    • Notices on various “Job Opportunity” in the floral industry are always available via email and the notice board within school premise. However, NSFD bears no responsibility whatsoever between the potential employers stated above and the potential employees or the applicants.
      This is a free service offered by NSFD.

  • 8. I would like to start my own floral business. Does your school provide any assistance?
    • NSFD conduct a Floral Retail Management Course. On top of that, we also provide consultancy services in operating and getting resources to start your own floral business.

  • 9. Will there be any exams?
    • While most courses or workshops do not have any examination at the end of the training, the professional floral courses are vigorously set to give trainee a good foundation to meet the challenges of the floral industry. Hence, the professional courses do have examination to test the maturity of skill-set of each trainee at the end of their courses.

  • 10. Is there any Group discount?
    • For Corporate Clients with a sizeable number of students, you are most welcome to enquire about group discount. We can also customize the courses to suit different corporate requirements.

  • 11. Will I get any certification at the end of the courses?
    • If the student successfully completed the NSFD Examinations, the student shall be awarded a certificate or level of competence jointly offered by NSFD and the World Floral Council (WFC), a world’s 1st collaboration. However, non–floral courses may be awarded an independent or joint certification, which is promoted with other established institutions in Singapore or the region.

  • 12. What are the other courses available at NSFD?
    • We also conduct classes such as WDA courses, Artificial Flower Design Course, Ribbon & Bow Making Course, Festive Season Floral Design Course, Congratulatory Floral Design Course, Condolence Floral Design Course etc. We also customize specific course packages according to your needs.
