WSQ FLORISTRY

The WSQ Diploma in Floristry Management course modules are developed by Nobleman Institute of Floral Design Pte Ltd., in accordance with WSQ Floristry framework guidelines. It delivers beyond the aspect of just a florist who does the daily arranging of flowers for customers. These courses transform a florist into a well-respected professional, upgrading their skills and knowledge, so that they are competent in areas such as designing, managing, marketing & sales, IT skill, communication & presentation skills and leadership skills.
WSQ Certificate In Floristry Operations
  • Assemble Fresh Flowers using Floral Foam
    • (Unit Code: FL-FS-101E-1/ CRS-Q-0031298-FL)
      (CU 9: Elective Unit)

      This unit provides Learners with knowledge and skills in assembling fresh flowers and other floral materials using floral foam.

      Duration:  24 hours
      This course is comprised of 6 sessions x 4 hours (5 training lessons + 1 Assessment)

      Certification:
      Learners will be awarded Statement of Attainment if they achieved at least 75% attendance and having certified competent through the assessment.

      Who should attend:
      Floral assistants looking to enhance their skills.
      New industry entrants seeking basic knowledge and skill in assembling flowers using floral foam.

      What you will be learning:

      •   Assemble 3 arrangements, namely: Round, Vertical and Fan design.
      •   Prepare for work using correct tools, protective equipment, selection of appropriate floral containers.

  • Assemble Fresh Flower Bouquets

      (CU 7: Core Unit)

      This unit provides Learners with knowledge and skills in assembling fresh flowers bouquets.

      Duration:  24 hours
      This course is comprised of 6 sessions x 4 hours (5 training lessons + 1 Assessment

      Certification:
      Learners will be awarded Statement of Attainment if they achieved at least 75% attendance and having certified competent through the assessment.

      Who should attend:
      Floral assistants looking to enhance their skills.
      New industry entrants seeking basic knowledge and skill in bouquet arrangements.

      What you will be learning:
      4 different bouquet arrangements, namely:

      •   Strauss bouquet with long stems.
      •   Strauss bouquet with short stems.
      •   Flat wrap bouquet with long stems.
      •   Round wrap bouquet with long stems.

  • Perform Basic Wiring Techniques
    • (Unit Code: FL-FS-103C-1/ CRS-Q-0031622-FL)
      (CU 6: Core Unit)

      This unit provides Learners with knowledge and skill in designing and creating visually appealing Corsage and Headdress.

      Duration:  16 hours
      This course is comprised of 4 sessions x 3 hours (3 training lessons + 1 Assessment

      Certification:
      Learners will be awarded Statement of Attainment if they achieved at least 75% attendance and having certified competent through the assessment.

      Who should attend:
      Floral assistants looking to enhance their skill in wiring techniques.
      New industry entrants seeking basic knowledge and skills in applying wiring techniques.

      What you will be learning:

      •   Application skill in wiring techniques.
      •   Different gauge of wires.
      •   Application skill in using floral tape.

  • WSQ Diploma [Modules] In Floristry Management
    • This course aims to facilitate progress for a florist to a competency level in the areas of design, management, sales and marketing, IT skill, Communication and Presentation skill and Leadership.

      Developed by Nobleman Institute of Floral Design Pte Ltd, the Diploma in Floristry Management is designed within the WSQ Floristry framework guidelines.

      Nobleman Institute of Floral Design Pte Ltd is an approved WSQ floristry framework training provider to provide the following competency units in WSQ Diploma in Floristry Management*:

      Core Units
      CU1. Develop a comprehensive floral design portfolio
      CU2. Accomplish improved floral design skills and techniques
      CU3. Develop concept plans and preliminary documentation for floral designs and displays
      CU4. Prepare detailed floral project design drawings and specifications
      CU5. Manage implementation of floral design or display project
